Exam leaks prompted a national law in 2024

Parliament passed the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act in February 2024, and it came into force in June 2024. That month the Ministry of Education cancelled the June 2024 UGC-NET a day after it was held, on information that its integrity had been compromised, and the CBI took up the alleged leak of the NEET-UG paper. In July 2024 the Supreme Court declined to order a NEET-UG re-test, finding no evidence of a systemic breach. No agency publishes an annual count of exam leaks or cancellations, so this card states no yearly number.

What follows. The 2024 law and the cancellations show that leaks reached national examinations. Measuring how often they happen would need a published list of events.
